As for DokuWiki, PmWiki is based on a flat file system but they are not ".txt" files and so far I haven't found it easy to edit them locally on my PC. However, editing on the web is a breeze with a nifty interface that allows push-button entry of the wiki markup. [Read More!]

In using and evaluating DokuWiki, so far I like the ease of creating new pages and organizing and reorganizing the filing system. Also the ability to create files locally as text files and then upload the new pages perhaps in new folders and for everything to automatically be linked together through the powerful index system. (In the default layout there is an index link at the bottom right in the bottom navigation bar. This didn't make sense to me so I altered the template to put it at the top left in my own installation.). [Read More!]
