How To Make Sure Your Subscribers Are Really Reading Your Newsletter

How often do you send out a newsletter to your opt-in subscribers? Why is this important?

If you say 'once a week' or 'every day' then you're missing the point of sending out a "news"-letter.

I receive many newsletters from online marketer's and some I ALWAYS read.

Why?

Because they have 'news worthy' content.

If you're sending out a newsletter just to sell something to me on that day and don't offer any real 'news' or updates about your site -save your time.

After a while people will recognize that you're only sending sales pitches with no real 'news'.

It's OK to send sales pitches for your products or services-of course! ...but include some news about your site or what you have been up to lately, etc.

So, why is this important?

Well, if your newsletter is NOT opened no one will read your news or your ads. No ad views = no money.

People want to know about YOU as much as they want information they can use to make their life better in some way. They want to be sold...they want the ads too. What they don't want is a one-sided conversation with ALL ads.

My newsletter is read and I get a lot of response because I only send it out when I have some news to tell you. Yes, I sell stuff too, but I only send it when I have news about my sites.

How do I know it's read?

I track all of the clicks in the letters.

If you're not tracking clicks you don't know what people want.

If you want your newsletter subscribers to be more responsive just remember to put more 'news' in your letter ;-)

Warmly,
